The Ophthalmology Foundation (OF) is a non-profit organization co-founded by the International Council of Ophthalmology Foundations (ICOF) and the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), which aims to enhance global eye care capabilities through education and training, with a special focus on providing eye health support to low-resource countries.
The inaugural OF Council comprises 33 prominent ophthalmologists from 13 countries worldwide. Notably, Professor He Wei, Chairman of He Eye Specialist Hospital, is the sole Chinese representative appointed to the Council.
