The Foreign Aid Training Program "Seminar on School Management for SCO Countries," supported by our university and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, was successfully concluded.

On July 3rd, the "Seminar on School Management for SCO Countries," sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, organized by Shenyang Normal University, and supported by He Eye Specialist Hospital and He University in terms of teaching, successfully concluded with a closing ceremony.
Attendees of the closing ceremony included Zhang Wei, Secretary-General of the Expert Committee on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education of Liaoning Province; Yu Sile, Executive Vice President of He University; 13 student representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan; as well as representatives of the teaching staff and volunteers.
Yu Sile delivered a speech on behalf of the faculty, while Zhalenov Jasulan from Kazakhstan and Mahmudova Sevara from Uzbekistan spoke as trainee representatives. Zhang Jingtao, the foreign aid training program officer from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation at Shenyang Normal University, presided over the ceremony and summarized the program.

Exploring New Paths in University Management Together
The School Management Training Program for SCO Countries kicked off commenced on June 20. The program invited renowned experts and scholars from relevant fields within and outside Liaoning province.
The curriculum was carefully meticulously designed to integrate theory with practice, including: Thematic academic lectures, Interactive discussion sessions, Cultural immersion experiences.

Zhang Donglei, Dean of the School of Pharmacy at He University, shared insights with the trainees on exploring pathways for the integration of higher education and industry development.
During the training program, experts from Shenyang Normal University and He University shared insights on various topics, including an overview of China's national conditions, the Chinese model and practices of industry-education integration in medical higher education, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in universities and research institutions, pathways for synergistic development between higher education and industry, strategies for cultivating applied talents in universities, and the construction of mental health curricula in higher education.
They shared China’s experiences and practices in talent cultivation, Industry-Academia-Research integration, innovation and entrepreneurship, and digital healthcare. These academic discussions were also complemented by cultural experiences to help participants gain a deeper understanding of Chinese society, history, and development models.

Experiencing the Charm of China’s Technology and the Beauty of Its Culture
During the training program, the participants visited Shenyang He Eye Specialist Hospital, Beijing He Eye Specialist Hospital, the Eye Gene Bank – a leading genetic resource bank for eye diseases and related chronic diseases in China, and He University.
They experienced the full life cycle smart eye health services, gained an in-depth understanding of the technical expertise and operational model of China’s ophthalmology specialty hospitals, observed China’s best practices of school management in higher education, as well as the advanced concepts in medical education, scientific research innovation and international cooperation.

To promote cultural exchange and integration between China and other countries, and to enhance international friends' understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture, this training program thoughtfully incorporated an immersive traditional Chinese cultural experience. This allowed participants to discover the profound depth and unique charm of Chinese culture.
During their visit to He University, the participants engaged in various hands-on courses, such as Baduanjin (a form of traditional Chinese qigong exercise), cupping and pulse diagnosis in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), paper-cutting, and tie-dyeing, experiencing the richness of Chinese traditional culture.
Additionally, in Shenyang and Beijing, the participants took part in diverse cultural activities, exploring the two cities’ historical legacies, natural landscapes, and technological advancements. Through these interactive communications, they gained a deeper understanding of China, enhanced international friendships and cherished memories during the journey.



This training program has built a bridge for educational cooperation among SCO countries, laying a solid foundation for win-win development. During the program, representatives from He University signed strategic cooperation agreements with four institutions from SCO countries, marking a new starting point for in-depth collaboration in talent cultivation, scientific research, and technology transformation. This signifies the shared commitment of all parties to advance together and contribute to regional development.

Deepening Bonds of Friendship
At the closing ceremony, Zhang Jingtao, the foreign aid training project officer of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Shenyang Normal University, remarked in the project summary that successful implementation of this training program provides an opportunity for Shenyang Normal University to refine its experience, cherish the friendships formed, and further enhance high-level international cooperation.
The university will continue to build broader and more inclusive platforms for global collaboration, contributing to the advancement of a community with a shared future for mankind.

In their speech, the trainee representative expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce for providing such an invaluable training opportunity. It is precise because of such an opportunity that they were able to come to China, visit schools, shopping malls, hospitals, and experience people’s daily lives, thereby gaining a comprehensive, multidimensional, and objective understanding of China.
They described the training as highly rewarding for having learned much about China's educational and healthcare systems, current developmental progress, and unique characteristics. Special thanks were extended to Shenyang Normal University, He Eye Specialist Hospital, and He University for their thoughtful program design and meticulous arrangements.
Finally, they expressed hope that the extensive connections established through this training would further promote exchanges and cooperation among SCO member states, contributing even more to improving the well-being of people across SCO nations.
